Last week I mentioned the plan for a Youth Development Initiative. I hope you are as excited about the potential for this project as I am. One of the first steps in the initiative is to build a database of youth development organizations in counties. You may have already received a note from your Regional Program Director - 4-H and Youth Development and/or your Extension Program Specialist - 4-H and Youth Development. Please provide the information to the spreadsheet and send back them as soon as possible. We simply need to know the organization's name, a contact within the organization and their email address. These organizations will then be invited to participate in the needs assessment through the form of an online survey. We realize your time is limited so the list does NOT need to be exhaustive.
One County Extension Agent asked if this database would be sold or provided to other organizations. No, we are not going to do this. It is only being used to send these organizations best practices in youth development, allow them to share ideas with other youth organizations, and to invite them to participate in youth development professional development opportunities.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact Chris Boleman.
